My name is Jennifer Adams and I have a passion for barrel cactuses (or cacti). I’ve been growing my cactus garden for a few years now and I love it!
I think that these plants are so lovely and they can create such a colorful and delicate addition to any garden – even if it’s just a small window pane. I enjoy taking care of them and watching them grow.
I was always a plant-lover, but it wasn’t until I started the cactus garden that I realized how much I loved these amazing plants. I’ve learned a lot about them over the years and I’m excited to share what I know with all of you.
To be honest, I bought my first cactus just because at that time, I had a demanding job and I didn’t have enough time to take care of a pet or plants. I tried, but I noticed that “regular” plants need more attention than I could give at that time. So I decided to buy a cactus.
It was a great decision because, even though they need less attention than other plants, they still need some love and care. barrel cactuses are easy to take care of, which is one of the reasons why I love them so much.
In the beginning, it was one cactus, but then it became two, three, four… and now I have a whole cactus garden! It brings me so much joy to take care of my plants and watch them grow. I decided to dive deeper and learn everything I could about the different types of cacti, and how to take care of them.
Among all the cacti I now have in my garden, barrel cactuses are my favorite. I love their shape and the way they look. They come in different sizes, colors, and shapes – no two barrel cactuses are exactly alike. Plus, whenever one of my friends or family members comes over, they’re always amazed by my collection. Most of them start with, “I didn’t know cactuses could be so beautiful!”
Of course, I take advantage of the opportunity and tell them about all the different types of cacti and how easy they are to take care of. I always talk about the barrel cactus because it’s the type that I have the most of, and I think they’re just so lovely.
